JLP TO ANNOUNCE NEW REPRESENTATIVE FOR NORTH CENTRAL ST. CATHERINE FOLLOWING CARETAKER’S RESIGNATION

Campaign Spokesperson for the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Kamina Johnson Smith, is today advising that the Party’s caretaker for North Central St. Catherine, Peter Abrahams, has resigned.  Mrs. Johnson Smith says Mr. Abrahams cited personal reasons in submitting his resignation to the Party’s General Secretary Dr. Horace Chang.

Mrs. Johnson Smith says Dr. Chang has accepted the resignation and is working with stakeholders to identify a replacement. Johnson Smith says the JLP will announce its new representative for North Central St. Catherine shortly.

Johnson Smith stated: “The Party’s workers in North Central St. Catherine are upbeat and remain eager to make their voices heard on February 25 by electing the JLP’s candidate to Parliament.  The Party’s Secretariat and constituency leadership will ensure no effort is spared in ensuring a smooth transition.”
