JLP CANDIDATES AND SUPPORTERS ENERGIZED & READY AMID NOMINATION DAY ACTIVITIES

February 9, 2016

Jamaica Labour Party General Secretary, Dr. Horace Chang, says the Party’s 63 candidates were nominated as scheduled and are looking forward to representing their respective constituencies in the upcoming general elections.

Dr. Chang said: “From all indications, nomination day activities progressed smoothly, with the JLP’s 63 candidates receiving the support and confidence of persons nominating them.  The Party’s candidates, workers and supporters are energized and remain upbeat ahead of Election Day.  We feel strongly that our base support will, along with the rest of Jamaica, speak loudly on February 25 by electing the JLP to office with a decisive majority.”

The JLP General Secretary went on to assert: “The energy level associated with nomination day is most telling.  It is the clearest indication yet of the extent to which the JLP’s plans and proposals are resonating with the people of Jamaica and are being looked to as realistic, practical and game-changing alternatives to the economic stagnation, joblessness and suffering being endured under the PNP Government.  The JLP is united and strong.  We have a formidable team of Parliamentary aspirants, all of whom are prepared to give selfless and dedicated service to the people of Jamaica.  We are encouraging every Jamaican to join our Partnership for Prosperity as we work toward a safer, more prosperous Jamaica.”
