Walking Out of Parliament, Conceding Defeat, Opposition Role

I completely understand your position. However, in all fairness, the JLP have walked out of parliament before. In 2005 after the police operation in Tivoli Gardens, the JLP walked out of Parliament. However, it is at the discretion of the party, whether or not ot stage a walk-out. It's a controversial happening, but at the same we give and take as to the reasons.

You are also right when you say that Mrs. Simpson-Miller doesn't understand her role as Opposition Leader. Your role IS to oppose. But also to oppose and present viable alternatives. That is something, which the PNP lacks and will continue to lack with Mrs. Simpson-Miller as head of the party. You are also right when you say that bi-partisanship is needed for the socio-economic development of the country. The PNP is not the alternative to the country's problem now, JAMAICANS ARE with the JLP as the government.

Any political leader can concede or refuse to concede electoral defeat. It is just a way of 'licking your wounds' per say. It doesn't matter if she doesn't concede, because she probably won't concede the next general election defeat when the JLP retains power, and if she is still there when we retain power again and again. Just a reminder, Mr. Seaga has not conceded his 1989 defeat.
