The End Time Basic School in Waterhouse, Kingston, is to receive a facelift as its old infrastructure is to be replaced with a new building, which will provide the intuition with three sets of classrooms.

Contracts for the works, scheduled to commence shortly, was signed during a ceremony at the institution Friday (September 3).

A contract valued at $13 million, for the implementation of the Project Resources Management Systems at the National Works Agency (NWA), was signed Friday (September 3) by the Minister of Transport of Works, Hon Mike Henry, at the Ministry in Kingston.

The contract, awarded to Illuminat Jamaica Limited, is slated to begin this month and will continue for a period of five months.

Registered Government nurses resumed normality Friday afternoon (September 3), after a meeting with Minister of Labour and Social Security, the Hon Pearnel Charles, at his Ministry, North Street, Kingston.

Tourism Minister, Hon. Edmund Bartlett will be among six Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Tourism Ministers and delegates from the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO), who will be meeting in London next week to discuss changes to the British Government's airline passenger tax regime.

The meetings come just eight weeks before the Airline Passenger Duty (APD) is set to increase from £50 to £75 per person for economy class seats and from £100 to £150 in premium economy, business and first class.
